The Good and Bad of Winter
Usually, a few of my hardcore golfer friends and I make it out three or four times during the winter months, but this isn't enough. And, when we do play, the conditions are less than ideal (i.e. rock-hard bunkers and furry greens with concrete-like subsurfaces). But, I have mixed emotions about golf in the winter.
On the one hand, not being able to play because of bad weather is a huge negative. On the other hand, not being able to play really gets me fired up to play as often as possible when everything thaws out. Would I rather have warm weather year round and take it for granted? Or would I miss the anticipation of spring? I honestly don't know, and it doesn't really matter. Moving to Florida or Arizona isn't in the plans. I'll just have to sit here and wait until April.

Apropos of z-e-r-o, guess who I just e-mailed for a grad school recommendation? One hint: it wasn't Schindler.
Yannis,
Your blog is getting stale!
Have you blogged and pinged yourself? I've purchased a training package for creating your RSS feed and using it to get your blog into the search engines.
Let me know if you'd like the poop!
Adios, Francisco
